You’ll be teaching adult students from all around the world in both group classes, and private one-to-one classes.

Unfortunately, no. You need to use a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam. The online teaching platform is only accessible using Google's Chrome browser.

You need to have at least a 40hr TEFL certificate from an accredited source. It should be a general certificate rather than a skills specific version e.g. a TEFL in grammar. Remember, you can still submit an application without a TEFL as long as you complete it before you start teaching. During your interview, our team is happy to advise which course might be suitable for you.

This is due to teaching regulations in some countries. All teachers must be educated to at least bachelor degree level. However, the degree subject does not need to be related to teaching or English.

EF has a global presence so we can also offer online help for technology and scheduling issues outside of UK office hours.

Not at all! Our Academic team create optional teaching materials for online lessons. Materials are uploaded to the online platform in advance of your lesson. This means you don’t need to spend hours outside of class planning lessons or preparing activities. We take care of it for you!

Yes! We understand that when face-to-face with a student for the first time, the last thing you want to be doing is figuring out new technology. You’ll be provided with full training which will familiarise you with the online classroom. After your training our support team will be there to answer any questions you may have. You’ll also have access to your mentor and the UK wide online teacher community.

• Screen size: at least 11 inches (laptop or desktop)
• Screen resolution: at least 1280 x 720 (laptop or desktop)

• Graphics card: RTX 3050
• RAM: 8GB or more
• Operating System: Windows 10+
• Screen size: at least 13 inches (laptop) or 22 inches (desktop)
• Screen resolution: at least 1366 x 768 (laptop) or 1680 x 1050 (desktop)
• Green screen
• Logitech C920 Pro (or similar)
• Ring light

You should have access to a stable Wi-fi or a cable internet connection with minimum download speeds of 25 Mbps and upload speeds of 3Mbps.
